So, I received an e-mail from my ID prof. Apparently, the budget for the renovation of the College of Education office came in and they can go ahead with it and go all out. New furniture and finishes and everything! So, my prof said that they would still like to work with me on these selections. The problem is this will probably start during the school year. That's going to make it a little rough with work and my other school responsibilities. I do feel bad b/c I'm not the only one who started out on this project. There were 5 of us who began this and came up with a new floorplan for the renovation. We showed them our designs, and they told us what they liked and disliked in each of them. So, we went back to the drawing board and revamped. We showed them, again, the revised plans and they chose one that they liked.....mine! I think that's great and really boosted my self-esteem about going into this field. However, ever since my layout was chosen, the other girls seem to have been dropped from the project. I really don't think that's fair since they all wanted to take part in it. I asked my prof about the others and he ignored it. I think he just wants me to work on it, but I really don't know if I'm up to being solely responsible for this redesign. I'm affraid I'll pick out things they won't like or won't be able to create a cool space. I'd feel more comfortable having the other girls and I colaborating on it. I may just have them help out anyway.
If I pull this off, all by myself, I'll know that I can handle being a "professional."

Hellloooo!!!! what are you thinking! You could SOOO do that job. I mean, come on -- if you give them some thing they don't like, are they going to hold back your diploma? Ok, they might, but don't you do a preview of what they want... also if you get to go all out, think what that's going to do for your resume. Could this be like your internship???????
Go for it, girl!!!!
