One Little Item Changes Everything

Remember waaaaay back when I said that I had a presentation for a design I did for a credit union? (ok, well I thought I had, but I can't seem to find the post. So, if I didn't tell you before, I'm telling you now!)

Well, I presented and it went well. However, the following week, the client got back to us and said that she didn't like any of the finishes, except for 2. Her reasoning? She was going with brushed nickel hardware so the fabrics I picked wouldn't work b/c they had "gold" in them. Mind you in the beginning, she told us that she wanted a traditional style. Does brushed nickel scream "TRADITIONAL" to anyone here??? Come on, you can be honest!

Anyway, I had a couple weeks to come up with yet another color scheme and make a board for it as well. The day came to present and she LOVED it. Now, I don't know if she truely loved it or just said so b/c the architect was coming down on her hard for not having the finishes picked out yet so they could put the building construction out to bid. I guess I really don't care at this point only b/c it means that I don't have to search and search and search for more fabrics, granite, laminate, and everything else again!

Since you can't really see what I did, I took a pic of my final board so you could see it.

Here it is:

It doesn't matter if she really meant that she loved it or not because the point is that you gave her what she asked for and as her interior designer that is all you can do :)
I like that old style light brown/red chair in the centre of the pic

I found the credit union post (3rd paragraph) ......
