Bad blogger

I haven't been good about posting or commenting. I know. I'm a bad blogger. However, in all fairness, I must tell you that the reason why I haven't blogged a lot lately is b/c I've been avoiding my computer at night since I'm on it all day at work.

And since I'm on it all day at work, I think I'm either developing Carpal Tunnel or some other fun, wonderful ailment in my wrist. After using the computer (mainly the mouse) all day long, my wrist hurts when I bend it. And for more fun, my one finger has decided to act up even more then my wrist. It hurts all the time. It has the feeling like it has to "pop" to feel better, yet it won't. No matter how much I try to crack the knuckle, it won't. Then I just realize how painful it is and stop pushing on it which leads it back to feeling like it needs to "pop."

I guess I shouldn't have gone into a profession that is so "mouse intensive." Perhaps I'll take Skii's idea and set my mouse up to be used by my left hand instead of my right. It will be weird to do in the beginning, but if it saves my right wrist, it's worth it.

So anyway, that's the reason behind my lack of posting and commenting. I do hope it is nothing serious and will go away soon. I'm probably heading down the same road as my dad and will have the rest of my life filled with joint pain. Speaking of joint, anyone know if that helps joint pain at all?!

Need I say more?

BTW - go check out Skii's contest!
Maybe she'll extend the deadline, but if not, check it out anyway!

Kids being kids...Oh wait! That's illegal now.

If you haven't heard, playgrounds are now safer in Colorado. Apparently, some kids have complained that when they played tag, they got......

.....get ready cause this is really horrible!....

Can you imagine?! Being chased during a game of tag?!?!?! Why, in my day, we never did such crazy things as chase others while playing tag. That's just ludicrous!

What has this world come to that kids are taking the game of tag too far by chasing the other kids on the playground?! What's next? The banning of Red Rover b/c kids got hurt from bouncing off the linked arms of the other team? Oh....wait...that already happened.

So this school feels that banning tag will help the kids' self-esteems b/c now they won't be chased. Whew! Tragedy avoided! Now, if only they could work on their false sense of entitlement that parents have instilled in them. Oh, but we can't let them know the big bad secret that life isn't fair and that you don't always get what you want, when you want it.

Why don't they just go back to their video games and preservative packed snacks and forget all about that running, chasing, getting healthy stuff. Just keep stuffing your face, sitting on your rump, and increasing our childhood obesity and diabetes rate by staggering amounts!

Being sick sucks!

Oh, and you have the FUNKIEST dreams when you're sick too!

This should be enough Lysol to disinfect my blog!
"Some" are afraid they'll catch my cold from reading/visiting my blog.

friends who care and share

As you know, I was hanging with Skii and the gang last weekend and I really enjoy my time there. For those of you who don't know, Skii and I have known each other since we were four years old. Over those years we've shared many things like secrets, clothes, gum (new and abc I'm sure), as well as the common cold. This past weekend, Skii and Izzy were a bit under the weather and tried their best to not infect the rest of us. However, those nasty, pesky, common cold bugs found their way into my system. Now, my throat is on fire and nothing will put it out! So, the big question here is:

Who the HECK is going to bring me a nice, big, pot of hot chicken noodle soup?!

who says wal-Mart is bad for america?

I stopped at the local Wal-Mart for a couple things last night before arriving at Skii's joint. I wandered through the store gathering the few necessary items, then arrived at one of the open check-outs. As I walked up, the cashier, James, was saying "They spelled "checks" wrong on here! They spelled it C-H-E-Q-U-E-S!" To which I replied, "That the European way of spelling it." He completely ignored what I said and started pronouncing it as "che-quays." I just felt pity for this young man who will probably remain a loyal Wal-Mart employee forever and never realize that there's a bigger world out there where they spell checks, cheques.
